The Razer Blade 14 remains one of the best lightweight gaming laptops. It comes with a fast CPU, GPU and a lovely screen. Blade laptops carry a premium price but when you knock AU$1,500 off the price, it becomes harder to resist.

Gigabyte Aero 16 YE5 (i9-12900HK, RTX 3080 Ti, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) | AU$7,399 AU$4,999 at Scorptec
This is an extremely pricey piece of kit at RRP, and while AU$5,000 is still a lot to pay for a laptop—even this highly spec'ed—these Aeros really are impressive. Specs listed above aside, it's the UHD+ OLED display that does a lot of talking, especially given the 16 inch display size and ultra-thin bezels. Like the model above, this is pitched as much to creators as to gamers.

A tidy grand off this well-spec-ed and very aesthetically pleasing gaming lappy. It boasts an UHD+ OLED display with a generous 16 inches of real estate, VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification, and a virtually non-existent bezel. This is as much a laptop for creators as it is for gamers, so if you happen to reside within both those niches, this is a PC well worth investigation.

This is a good price for a gaming laptop with a beautiful 3840x2400 Samsung AMOLED display, which has VESA DisplayHDR 500. These are truly classy pieces of kit, and this is a great discounted price for a laptop that will hold you in good stead for work just as well as play.

AMD's Ryzen 5 7600X processor is a great option if you're looking for an affordable current generation CPU without spending big bucks. It's easy to cool, it's power thrifty and just $399, it's well over $100 cheaper than it was just a month back. It'll let you divert your gaming dollars towards a high end graphics card, which the 7600X will drive with ease.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600G 6 Core Socket AM4 CPU | AU$399 AU$199 at Mwave (save AU$200)

This affordable AMD CPU comes with strong integrated graphics, making it a compelling option if you play older games or those that don't require a powerful and expensive graphics card. Its six cores offer decent general purpose performance, it sips power, and it comes with a bundled cooler too.

PNY GeForce RTX 3060 VERTO Dual 12GB Graphics Card | AU$579 AU$499 (save AU$110)

This PNY RTX 3060 was $469 earlier this week, but at AU$599 it still delivers a lot of gaming performance for your buck. It's a good option for use with a high refresh rate 1080p screen, but it'll happily run games at higher resolutions too, especially if you enable DLSS.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6GB Graphics Card | AU$399 AU$329 at Mwave (save AU$70)

We might want a shiny new RTX 4090, but at over $3k, that's an instant pass for most. This GTX 1660 Super is a far more worldly option at $329. It's a good card for 1080p gaming and it might offer a surprising bump in performance if you're upgrading from a card from a few years back.

This affordable Full HD IPS 24 incher offers a very good gaming spec at under $300. It's got a 165Hz refresh rate and a response time as low as 0.5ms. It'd make a good bedroom option too.

Gigabyte M32U 4K gaming monitor | AU$1,149 AU$999 at MWave
A cool AU$150 off this 4K / 144Hz gaming monitor, offering a generous screen real estate of 31.5 inches. This  IPS affair has a 1ms response time, 10-bit HDR, built-in KVM, and a nicely pared back approach to design. It'll also swivel horizontally at 30 degrees, with 130mm height adjustment.

Alienware 25 gaming monitor (AW2521HFL) | AU$748 AU$448
What this display lacks in size it makes up for with smoothness: 240 flippin' Hz is on offer here, with a 1ms reponse time, and G-Sync and FreeSync support. It's a 1080p affair, so silky motion is really the priority here, and will appeal to competitive gamers. This AU$300 discount certainly sweetens the deal.

LG C2 77-inch Self Lit OLED TV | AU$7,995 AU$5,990 at Appliance Central
Here's an undeniably substantial AU$2,000 discount on what our sibling site TechRadar considers one of the very best TVs on the market. It ain't a gaming monitor obviously, but its OLED display and HDR support will hold you in good stead if you're a couch PC gamer, not to mention NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium and variable refresh rate support making this one of the better gaming TVs money can buy.

Crucial MX500 4TB 2.5-in SATA SSD | AU$435.94 at Amazon

4TB SSD's are cheaper than ever, and this Crucial MX500 is one of the best ones at just $436 from Amazon UK. It's a great option for speeding up an old laptop or using it to hold an ever growing game library.

Crucial P3 4TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD | AU$579 AU$429 (save AU$150)
It's tough to find a 4TB SATA SSD at this price, let alone an NVMe one. This Crucial 4TB PCIe 3.0 is a great option for a secondary drive or storing a big game library. It won't set speed records but at this price you won't find better.

ErgoTune Supreme V3 | AU$749 AU$599 at NorthDay (save AU$150)
We reviewed this office chair recently and found it to be a great happy medium between "office" and "gaming" chair, especially for those now working from home (lucky you!). It has customisation galore, strong but breathable mesh, and is especially good for those among us not quite sold on gamer flair.

The Secretlab Titan 2020 is still an excellent gaming chair. It's a long time favourite of ours, being supremely comfortable and well built. This version adds the feeling of luxury that only comes from genuine leather. A saving of $330 makes this a great deal.

This is our pick for the best gaming chair, and you'll know why once you sit in it. Or read our review. As for this specific design, it's one of the more understated of the lot. It's not as sensual to the touch as the Softweave fabric choice, but still boasts immaculately upholstered, premium quality Neo Hybrid Leatherette, and of course fantastic ergonomics. The full price can be a bit deceiving on Secretlab chairs, as we rarely ever see it, but this is still a good deal on a great chair.

HyperX QuadCast S streaming microphone | AU$299 AU$205.10 at Amazon
The QuadCast S is among our favourite microphones for gaming and streaming, chiefly for its lavish RGB stylings. Of course, the thing has to work well as a mic as well, and the QuadCast S excels in that important area too. It's easy to use, has a touch-sensitive mute button, built-in shock mount, and 20Hz-20kHz frequency response. This AU$91 discount is good, and relatively rare.

The Elgato Wave:3 is a well built cardioid mic that's great for streamers. It received a positive review over at our sister site Tom's Hardware. And with a 30% Black Friday discount, it's even better.

Logitech G203 Lightsync gaming mouse | AU$69.95 AU$28-$41
This is our favourite cheap gaming mouse, and now it's even cheaper to the tune of at least 50%. The white variety linked above is AU$35, but if you can cope with (or love!) the blue variety, that's the cheapest at AU$28. Black and lilac colours are both AU$41, if you're feeling plush and fancy.

Our very favourite gaming mouse with a 65% discount, though it was a whole AU$4 cheaper earlier in the week. We praise this unit for its superior sensor, brilliant shape, and support for all the many and various hand sizes out there. You're saving a lot on this one, so if you're in the market for a mouse this is a brilliant steal.

Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed wireless gaming mouse | AU$109.95 AU$49 at Amazon
55% off this ergonomic, wireless gaming mouse, which was a tad cheaper (by the measure of AU$5) earlier in the week. We rewarded an admirable 81% upon release. Come for the long battery life and near-zero latency, stay for the comfort. We considered this "relatively affordable" at its RRP, which makes this discount "extremely affordable".

Under AU$40 clams, for this, Razer's lightest gaming mouse, both in terms of weight, and also thanks to its pretty RGB stylings. It's a corded affair with six programmable buttons and a 8500 DPI optical sensor.

Cooler Master MasterMouse CM110 Gaming Mouse | AU$39 AU$19 at Mwave (save AU$20)

It might not have all the bells and whistles of a $100+ mouse, but it's got the important ones and at just 19 bucks over at Mwave, the Cooler Master CM110 is an absolute steal. It's got 3-zone RGB, adjustable DPI optical sensor and six buttons. Did we mention it's $19?

Logitech G915 Lightspeed wireless mechanical keyboard | AU$399 AU$252 at Amazon
This slab is our favourite wireless gaming keyboard, with its lag-free wireless, brilliant battery life, and low-profile mechanical switches. As per usual with Logitech gear it's a tastefully understated piece of gear, though that's not to say it can't be awash in hectic RGB stylings, if you want it to be. This AU$148 discount makes now an opportune time to grab one, though obviously it still ain't an impulse buy.

Asus ROG Falchion Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard | AU$279 AU$139 at Mwave (save AU$140)

This 65% Asus keyboard is a great option if you're looking to enjoy the benefits of a wireless mechanical keyboard with a desk space saving compact size. It's got Cherry MX Brown switches, RGB lighting and a customizable touch panel on the side. Oh, did we mention that it's half price over at Mwave?

Razer Cynosa V2 Chroma | AU$119.90 AU$59 at Amazon
This was AU$48 earlier in the week, but if you missed out this is still a decent bargain. The original (ie, not the "V2") version of this keyboard is the best membrane gaming keyboard for our money, and while you should go in aware that this ain't a mechanical affair (it's membrane, natch) if you've been holding out to grab one, now is verily the time.

If you're after a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard from a trusted brand in gaming peripherals, this Alloy Origins Core is well-worth consideration—especially with AU$48 off the usual price. This one is an HX red switch affair with the obligatory RGB stylings, a robust aluminium body, and memory enough to store three custom-designed profiles.

be quiet! Dark Base 700 Mid Tower RGB E-ATX case | AU$249 AU$186 at Mwave (save AU$63)

As you might guess from the name, Be Quiet cases are built with an emphasis on quiet computing, which I for one definitely appreciate! This classy case is big enough to hold the largest graphics cards and dual 360mm radiators. It has external switches to control fan speeds and RGB. It looks good too, and its tempered glass side panel allows you to show off the goodies within.

Cooler Master HAF 500 ARGB White E-ATX case | AU$199 AU$150 at Mwave (save AU$49)

Are you planning on buying a big graphics card? You'll need a case to hold it and keep it cool. This Cooler Master case includes dual 200mm intake fans which is perfect for a hot running year 2023 system. A well built white case with ARGB always looks good too, and right now it's 25% off at Mwave.

HyperX Cloud II Wireless gaming headset | AU$299 AU$167.89 at Amazon
Back before the Razer BlackShark V2 usurped it, the HyperX Cloud II was our favourite gaming headset. This wireless version is still a tidy affair, boasting an advertised 30 hour battery life (at maximum), 7.1 surround sound, detachable mic and cushy memory foam cups. This is a substantial discount, knocking just over AU$130 off the RRP.

This budget set of wired gaming cans are decently specced for their regular AU$99 price, so knocking off AU$30 makes it a worthwhile purchase. The Cloud Stinger S has virtual 7.1 Surround Sound, a robust steel frame, 90 degree rotating ear cups and a handy "swivel-to-mute" noise-cancelling mic.

TP-Link Archer AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router | AU$499 AU$374.75 at Amazon 

This TP-Link AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 router has enough bandwidth to satisfy most family homes, and it has eight LAN ports too. At $375, its priced a great deal lower than the fastest Wi-Fi routers, without omitting the most important security and usability features.

Asus RT-AX53U AX1800 Dual Band WiFi 6 (802.11ax) Router | AU$179 AU$89 at Amazon

Ditch that old ISP router and upgrade to this Asus Wi-Fi 6 one for just $89. If you've noticed your Wi-Fi lagging or dropping out in your home, especially when many devices are connected, the chances are it's because of an old or under spec router. This Asus will help with that.
